Meet Izzy 
What can I do for you? 

I graduated with a First Class BSc in Sports Science from Northumbria University in 2025 and qualified in Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy in March 2026. I am also due to begin training as a Physiotherapist in January 2027.

 

I am a highly active individual who spends a lot of time in the gym and has a genuine passion for rugby. I played for my university team and currently represent Workington Town Ladies RLFC.

 

Through my own involvement and love of sport, I understand the importance of recovery, performance, and looking after your body both physically and mentally.

 

I offer maintenance massage, injury-specific treatment, and pre and post event sports massage to support athletes and individuals alike. Whether you’re managing aches and pains, recovering from training, improving performance, or simply looking to relax and unwind, I’m here to help.

All consultations, if required,  will take place within the allocated session time given. 

Please note: Every new client MUST complete the Client Registration & Consultation form in the link below at least 24 hours prior to their first appointment.   If there are any relevant changes that occur between treatment visits, an updated form must be submitted.   


 

Soft Tissue Treatments 
 

  1. Soft Tissue Release: Targets specific muscles for improved flexibilty and function

  2. Connective Tissue Techniques:  Focuses on fascia and connective tissue to relieve tension ad pain

  3. Trigger Point Therapy: Identifies and deactivates painful trigger points to reduce discomfort

  4. Transverse Frictions: Applies pressure across muscle fibers to break down scar tissue and adhesions

  5. Muscle Energy Techniques: Uses the patients own muscle contractions to enhance flexibility and strength

  6. Myofascial Release: Gentle stretching and pressure to release restrictions in the fascia

What to expect:

The clinic is based from my Hummingbird
Studio in Horsforth, Leeds.   On arrival you will enter space of relaxation. Changing and toilet facilities available.    There is street parking available but please note this is a residential area so please make sure you are considerate to locals. 

All client prior to their first appointment will complete a Client Registration form.  There will be an initial assessment during the first appointment and then any adjustments made as and when required on follow up appointments.      

The sessions are tailored to individual needs.
An explanation of techniques are given and patient approval is sought prior to any treatment. 

Any post treatment advice will be offered for aftercare and stretches /exercises will be recommended if required.
